TSPC SUPPORT CASH FOR KIDS GOLF DAY
06 July 2016
IT has been one of the most popular charities on Tayside for more than 20 years now.
And the Tayside Solicitors Property Centre and member firms have been long-time supporters of Cash for Kids.
Year after year, the TSPC has sponsored a popular fundraising golf day for the Radio Tay charity and a five-figure sum was raised through the latest Cash for Kids Gents Open staged at the Strathmore Golf Centre.
It has been going from strength to strength and Radio Tay charity manager Lynda Sword reported that this year’s event attracted a record entry, with more than 160 golfers teeing-off at the popular Perthshire venue.
She stressed: “This event is only successful through businesses like TSPC supporting us and we thank them for this.
“The TSPC has been involved with this event for many years and continued their support this year with sponsorship of the Gents Handicap Prize.
“We are delighted to advise that over £10,000 was raised and this will go a long way in helping thousands of disadvantaged children living in Tayside and north east Fife.
“Every single penny we raise stays right here in Tay Territory, so you can be sure that your money is changing the lives of children on your doorstep.
“All funds raised directly benefit children and young people up to the age of 18 with a focus on improving quality of life, personal development and the fulfilment of aspirations.
“At present Cash for Kids is able to assist around 27,000 children every year.”
Lynne Hill, manager at the TSPC, said: “The Centre and our member firms are delighted to provide support for such a worthwhile charity as Cash for Kids, particularly given its emphasis on helping children across the region.
“Like the TSPC, Radio Tay’s Cash for Kids is instantly recognisable in Tayside and both organisations enjoy close ties to the community we serve.”
