ACTION STATIONS ON THE PROPERTY FRONT
26 January 2017
COMING hard on the heels of the Festive break, January is a month for forward planning.
You can’t open a newspaper or switch on the television without being assailed by adverts tempting you to book up sunshine summer breaks.
But this is also an opportune time to put the wheels in motion if you have been mulling over a property move in recent months.
A relatively mild winter is far from over but the shortest day is already well behind us and we are on countdown to spring.
With the daylight hours extending, slowly but surely, buyers are already actively looking at and securing properties across the region – and that means turning to the Tayside Solicitors Property Centre, our busy website and the ever popular bi-weekly Property Guide.
Our “one-stop property shop” has been the go-to Centre for Dundee, Angus and North Fife since 1971, when local solicitors first banded together in the best interests of local buyers and sellers.
That was the year when the first pocket calculator hit the market, Apollo 14 landed on the moon, picture houses were luring filmgoers to see Love Story and The French Connection, (Sir) Rod Stewart was in the charts with Maggie May and the first barrels of oil were pouring out of Norwegian fields.
Fast forward more than 40 years and the world has undergone far-reaching changes.
But the TSPC remains the number one shop window for local properties, still handling four in every five house sales in the region.
Whitehall Crescent manager Lynne Hill said: “While the location of the Centre has changed a few times in that period, we are still going strong and continually evolving to meet the demands of our clients.
“We have amassed five decades of knowledge and our staff and member firms are here to assist on everything from marketing to offering advice on school catchment areas.”
